T 6 is a go-anywhere expedition yacht that was constructed in 2007 by Flyghtship Construction Ltd., the New Zealand based yacht builder. T 6 won the Boat International Super Yachts Award in 2008 for Best Displacement Motor Yacht in her category. T 6 can accommodate up to 10 guests in five cabins. These include a master suite, two double cabins and two twin cabins. The master suite is located on the main deck. It is a vast suite with a study, a lounge and an ensuite head and shower. The two doubles are located on the accommodation’s deck and also include ensuite heads and showers. The two twin cabins are found on the lower deck. The yacht also can accommodate a crew of up to 12. As for performance, her twin Wartsila (the veteran company from Finland) diesel engines give her a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. At this speed, T 6 has an astounding range of 9,000 nautical miles. The list of equipment, tenders and toys is extensive and includes an Airbus Eurocopter (AS350 B3) 6 seater helicopter –a high performance version of the single engine helicopter. One of the unique features of T 6 is that she has a dedicated hanger that incorporates her helicopter and her custom aluminum tenders aft.
