Helios is an impressive superyacht that was constructed by Oceanco and Dorbyl in a shipyard in Durban South Africa in 2001. In 2008 she received a substantial refit of the interior including the salon and cabins, and in 2014, she was repainted. Her exterior is the result of the design by The A Group, while the interior is the work of Marc-Michaels, the Florida based, award winning interior designer who has this moto: “the difference is in the details”. Helios can accommodate up to 12 guests in seven cabins; a master suite, four double cabins and two twin cabins. The master suite provides a good example of what we mean by “details”. The master is full beam, has a separate study area, his and hers walk-in wardrobes, heated marble floors, and a TV in both the bedroom and bathroom area. With respect to performance, the twin CAT diesels engines enable the yacht to reach a top speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 13.5 knots. As for amenities, these are extensive and include a sundeck spa pool, an outdoor cinema, a fully equipped gym and a substantial stern beach club. Her list of tenders and water toys is lengthy and include, jet skis & 6 sets of dive scooters.
